I'm aware of the counterfeit stuff. However the SRT ones are only available through the Amazon; unless I get a Hellcat Chassis number to be able to buy it from the parts store.Of those, I feel Bosch is the better one.
Just be careful getting filters or auto parts on Amazon, they have a reputation of having counterfeit parts....
Thanks for tracking this down.Be sure you are seated before reading, because a miracle has occurred -
The corporate Fram guy called this lowly, sole consumer back! I was even given a "discontinued" phone number that still had voice messaging, and the guy somehow called me back.
Walmart removed Fram Endurance Filters from selected stores where sales rates were too low for their liking. The guy estimated something like 1/3 of the stores removed them. Fram Endurance FE remains available at the other stores. It also remains available to buy from Walmart online (which is what I did). There is no present plan to discontinue the series entirely, or to release the exclusive buying contract for them.
The Purolator Oil Filter that replaced Fram FE is their "20,000 mile" filter, in a gold box. It is priced lower than Fram FE, and is the same price as the now cost-reduced Fram XG filter. Both of these have synthetic blend filter media. Only Fram FE is all synthetic.
On rare occasion, a good rant induces reverse psychology and karma to prove me wrong about corporate America. 1 out of a million isn't a good batting avg.

I remember changing from Continental to Hastings piston rings on my old 1966 Mustang 6 cylinder (3.3L/ 200 Cu in) back in the early 1970's. The difference in compression and oil consumption was marked. The Hastings rings won that contest. I was just playing around, but it was fun.My Service Procurement Team still labors with this now when cross referencing filters for our annual generator services for our clients!
Even more critical when when oil and fuel filters are on units of 200KW and more!!! (especially prime power applications!).
(if you've ever had to deal with 2-stroke Detroit's you'd know exactly what I'm talking about, overall!)
Possibly a new filter technology better then anything discussed in this thread, I say new just new to the thread, not new as in just developed. I cant believe we never discussed this before, this is the first I have heard about it, thanks to Kyle aka @U&A.

World’s Best Oil Filter…Confirmed by Science #diesel #oilchange #oilfilter
Centrifuge Oil Filters are 10 TIMES BETTER than Any Other Filter!Pretty much everyone knows how important the oil filter is to life of their engine. In this ...youtu.be

Been around for 15 years. Nobody bought it with Power Generator Engines that I was aware of.
I wonder if this is a simple case of consumers not being able to accept a break from traditional filtration technology, despite the exponentially improved particulate capture and resulting improvement to engine longevity.
Bizarre!
.

I've not been through the whole thread page by page. Is there anyone who can give me a summary on which oil filter from these brands is the best to get..
WIX
Fram
K&N
Bosch
Mopar
Mobil 1 M1-113A
After that I will search my local amazon on what is available here.
I change my oil and filter approx every 3000 miles so something that is good as well as cost effective would be good.
So far I've only been using Mopar filters all this time and these are all what you get in the parts stores.
4884899AC & this one.
I searched the Fram website for the exact part number.
www.fram.com/partFinder/search/index?type=Any+Type&year=2014&make=5079&model=5482&engine=V8~5.7L~345~&car-type=car-truck
They gave me a whole list of options.. I guess you choose the one based on the oil change interval?
Interestingly enough, I was actually thinking about choosing that very one. The FE is not available through my local Amazon store, but XG10060 is available and is actually for a decent price in comparison to the oem Mopar ones. You likely can't purchase the Fram Endurance outside of America (seems to be a walmart thing), so I'd stick with the Ultra series. Either the XG10060 which is a small filter but guaranteed to fit on your truck, or the XG2 which is larger but you may or may not physically be able to fit it. I run the XG2 up to about 7000 miles.
The new Mobil 1 113’s are made in South Korea. They appear to be excellent filters along the lines of Carquest Premium, Pentius, and other Asian filters made by Premium Guard.I've not been through the whole thread page by page.
