How are you able to borrow $1.1B to 'start' a bankruptcy?

Seems like these conglomerates are the death knell for the companies they acquire. The bigwigs suck all the money out, then they die.
Watch the TV-series Landman......Cami will show you......LoL

Well I think it is a wrap, I don't see 20-820 anywhere but that funky site. Sad nobody would clone that. You were a good filter my pal.

I can't remember if this had been discussed here or not, but does anyone have any info on these PPE filters? On paper they look pretty good...

I just installed one on my custom filter relocation kit. Don't be deceived. the listing says they fit our trucks and they do fit the motor BUT, if you have 4x4 like I do, the filter is too tall for the stock location. I did the relocation kit to make my oil change life easier so I'm still on my first filter but I will post updates on how it goes. I chose the PPE because of the increased size and capacity. Plus the small bit of testing I have seen, it does well against its competitors. It is REALLY well made for a oil filter as well... Little tank bottle lol

My meager internet searching tells me that the oversize RP 20-820 and others like it, are all almost 4 inches by 4 inches (just over 10cm)

The PPE in the link above shows 4 inches by 6 inches, might not fit a lot of
our vehicles, too long?

I also noted a Bypass Valve Rating of 32psi which seems very high, but might be needed if the filter media is unusually efficient and restrictive. A claimed rating of 98% efficiency at 10 microns sounds like quite a filter.
The RP 20-820 claims 99% efficiency but at 25 microns.

Thoughts?

Carquest premium filters look interesting.
They have a great, maybe the best, center tube which I have no idea why that would be hard to do. One knock on the RP, never got the center tube right. However, I don't much care for the media, not sure why this should be that hard either, especially at premium price points. Seams like there is not one filter guy making filters, there simply isn't a great one anymore. Maybe HPL should get into the filter business. Wow YouTube didn't post right, ok.

Will see how this plays out. With Andrew Brumbergs pleading guilty and a cooperating witness, not looking good for the James brothers as it should.

Nor the company nor the products, nor the consumers, nor the employees.

But it was great living for quite a while for the Brumbergs and James, eh?

Friggin' a$$holes.

There is reports Ford and GM is trying to negotiate a financing lifeline to them mainly for the filtration and wiper aspect to keep them afloat so they keep to long lead contract fulfillment.

I'm not an expert with all of this.
WIX 57060XP vs FRAM XG10060 vs Mobil 1 M1-113A - which one is better?
I'm able to get these via Amazon (imported from the US).

Well, that depends… Do you have any kind of warranty or not? Whether you do or just wanna use what the book calls for, you really can’t go wrong with the 57060XP. Don’t really know a whole lot about the Mobil 1 filter but I’ve read quite a few times on here that unless it’s the larger size of that Fram XG filter, you’re really not getting anything special with the smaller one you listed.

I think we had settled on Fram's Endurance Oil Filter Line as the replacement for their XG, which they had cheapened. That was the last we'd left things. Since then Mann-Hummel bought Wix, I thought I'd read something about they cheapened those, and M1 idk - made by Champion Labs same as Royal Purple that have kind of vanished off the earth.

Corporate oligarchy is great, ain't it? Fram had signed an exclusive sales agreement for Endurance Oil Filters with WalMart, can't get 'em anyplace else. IDK if you can get those in UAE.

In the meantime, Fram went bankrupt under the Vulture Capital Holding Corporation First Brands, whose Huckster is currently in bankruptcy court determining what might be saved. It's godawful. Good luck with whatever you can get.

The Mobil 1. By far. The WIX XP has a longer service rating because it has lower efficiency. The FRAM is a toss up. It may be a decent filter, or it may be more common First Brands with poor quality control. The new M1 is made in S Korea by a company considered to be either a part of PGI, or at least a peer (you have to read the label). If you aren't stepping up to a Donaldson or a Fleetguard, there's no better filter than a PGI, at least currently.

Well all this time, until recently, I have been using the stock Mopar filters. After that I've used the FRAM.
I've never opened them up to find out whether they are doing the job correctly or not. Even if I did, I wouldn't be able to tell, so I go by reputation for quality and reviews.
Currently I've got the Purolator Pbl 12222 on the truck.
