I am new here, I have a 2021 Ram 2500 4x4 6.4 Hemi Utility work truck with 54305 on it, got an error code P1524 and my mechanic just changed the oil pressure switch. It was reading between 31-35 PSI while driving and at a stop idle it dropped to 7 PSI. Since they changed the swith the pressure has stayed the same. The dealership wants to keep my truck for 5 days to figure out what else is wrong. As of now the engine is still under warranty, but that is my only work vehicle. any suggestion?

taking a guess from best case to worse.. the oil pump pick up is sucking air, oil pump is going bad or worse something is loosening up in the engine. Unfortunately the dealership is route you need to go for the engine to be covered under warranty.

They filter everyone here stated to use, is currently on my truck and they changed the oil pressure switch as well. The error code still will not reset. I have an appointment with Ram on June 11 just in time before my powertrain warranty expires.
