? on subs

Hey guys ,

I've been wanting to get subs for my truck but I also want to try and keep my stock Infinity unit. Is there a way I can add a sub and still use all the stock components? The other thing is that I have the fold flat floor and I do use it a lot and want to keep it but I know if you get a fox box it says you have to remove it. Is there any other types of boxes out there even though the fox box is the best.

there used to be a box that replaced the center console and jeremy aka 021123539er made a bad ass custom console with a sub in it. you can use a line out converter to wire in an amp to the stock radio but your quality of sound will suffer.

JL makes a kit called clean sweep I believe, it's basically a complex line out converter. Once you install it you pop in a CD that comes with it and the computer in the converter tunes everything for you. You'll still have to set your gain and freq and whatnot but it does a lot of the work for you.

Korby if you live near ND I can helo you out. In high school I worked at a shop called the sound pro building custom boxes and still do it for some people. I have pictures of some that I have done somewhere. Line out Converter sound quality won't be the best but it will work. and for the record its not the worst either.

as said a line output converter will work. There used to be a guy on ebay that made the "hotbox" and it replaced the bottom section of the center seat. I had one with a JL 10W3v2 in it and it sounded awesome.
