Just noticed one of my dual electric horns quit working. Not sure which one as I’m on vacation and haven’t torn into yet but what’s a good aftermarket replacement? Quite frankly, I liked the factory horns but this is kinda odd that 33,000 miles/three and a half years later one’s already quit so I’m not sure of I want a direct factory replacement, thanks.

I added a Stebel air horn to mine, it even mounts just forward of where the stock horns are.

Salvage yard? Never heard of one failing, can't be common.

Check wiring with a test light or meter before you get too far.

Yeah, I’m a little stumped myself. Last truck was ten years old and on original horns.

Yep, that's them.
I had to cut the factory plugs off and use crimp terminals as the PIAAs are universal spade terminal type. No biggie.

Stop being so aggressive! That's too soon to wear it out.

my 2010 is easy since they mount right under the hood latch.
I think later years they're behind the left fender liner somewhere.
Used a test light to determine hot lead on the factory plugs, then cut 'em off & crimped on female spade connectors to both hot & ground. 10 minute job.

They have several different models but the ones NJ has are I believe 112db.

Well, I ended up ordering the PIAA super bass horns like NJ had. From the sound samples on PIAA’s site, I think I liked the sound of the 400/500Hz Sport Horn a little better but I think the Superior Bass horns will suffice. That, and by ordering them off Amazon, I can have them here by Saturday. Thanks for y’all’s help. Now of I could only find an installation video….LOL. I’m pretty sure NJ’s right, they’re in the driver side fender. I just hope I don’t have to remove my factory fender flare to get the inner fender well out.

I’ve thought about doing louder horns, but hadn’t really dug into it.

Where are the horns located on the 4th Gen RAMS? Am I correct in assuming the horn circuit has a relay?

Im sure there is a relay, hence the long ass delay.

I have a cop siren in mah truck. Its actually quicker to reach over and mash the siren or air horn button.

They are indeed.
They sound like the old car horns from the 60s, loud & obnoxious.
Not like air horns, just deep & loud like they know it's a truck honking.
