Opinions on SAE pod lights

There are many other companies out there. Anyone have any experience with SAE/DOT approved pod lighting? Discuss please. I am leaning towards Baja Designs.

Are those the “Driving” pattern. I had a pair of those in the XL size. They where pretty nice.


I am inquiring more about the “SAE,” however, that looks great and thanks for sharing

Diode Dynamics is based here in St. Louis and I’ve visited their store many times. Always super helpful and knowledgeable. All there stuff is engineered, tested, and made here and comes with a 3yr warranty. 2nd to none in quality and customer service IMO. Those new pods that they released earlier this year come in several different options based on your driving preference and what you’re using them for.

I have been eye’n DD very closely this year. Their SS3 and SSC2 have really impressed me. I have been talking with them on social media and they are very helpful. They seem to have some top notch lights and a lot of people are preferring their SAE when compared to BD.

If you have the SAE / DOT lights you do not have to cover them when not off road
All the others you may get tagged for no covers
