Hey, I'm having an issue with p0740 coming up. It comes on when I'm doing around 70km/h. Does anyone know what could be wrong with it? It's booked in for the transmission shop on Tuesday but, if it's something I could do in my garage I'd prefer that or I can get a transmission with low KMS if it would be a lower cost solution. Any help would be great.
Thank you

Featured snippet from the web
What the P0740 code means. What the P0740 code means is that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected something unusual within the torque converter clutch circuit. ... If the torque converter clutch application is abnormal (usually multiple times) the powertrain control module will trigger a Check Engine Light.

So it's a pretty generic code. My transmission has 161000 KMS on it and I just did a cam swap and some other modifications. It only comes on when I'm doing around 70km/h (it's come on 3 times all around the same speed) if I clear it it comes back when I spend a bit of time at 70. Is it worth digging in to (I need it running pretty soon I have a 1600km trip to work coming up)
Is there any common reason for it? I checked the fluid had to add a quart to bring it back up.

Hi @Colin15 - I apologize for the trouble! If at any point you need to address this with your Ram dealer, we recommend reaching out to Canadian Customer Care to have it documented. You may do so by visiting https://forms.chryslercanada.ca/contact/en/contactCCI.php?brand=dodge.
