Hey, first post (it’s a long one), so I’ll do my best to provide all the information I have. I have a 2010 1500 5.7L Hemi. Since I bought it I’ve had the Diablo Predator hooked up to lowest or middle setting. No problems (except when my recalled driveshaft fell off in Montana, and a problem with the blend door actuator). A week ago my check engine ligh came on, so I stopped driving it and used my work vehicle.
1. I bought a cheap scanner on Amazon and recieved a P3425 code (Cylinder 4 deactivation/intake - Valve control circuit open)
2. Researched possible causes and thought I would start with an oil change.
3. Hooked up Predator and returned to factory setting before doing ANYTHING.
4. Check engine light disappeared.
5. Hooked up scanner and it didn’t detect any faults. But still had the original fault stored in the memory.
6. Got an oil change anyways.
7. Noticed my blend door actuator that had been giving me a headache for years is about 95% effective now! Bonus
So what gives? I deffinetley don’t want to drive if the problem still exists. I want to repair it or have it repaired if it’s beyond my scope. I will say that my K&N air filter is deffinetley due for a cleaning. Thanks for any information, my apologies for the long post.
