Park Sense Showing Failure

The day after I bought it, the reverse park sense on my 2021 Rebel showed failed. In the “Messages” screen it says service required. Luckily I have plenty of warranty left... But seriously, I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come!

Otherwise I really like this truck.

My hunch is it has something to do with the electronic connection between the button in the center dash and the physical equipment. Because it still beeps when I back up.

Could be something as simple as a piece of dirt on one of the sensors. I have had mine disable from driving in heavy downpours and also snow storms.

I brought it in and the service department is going to replace the parksense module. We’re waiting on the part. Should be an easy fix. Here’s hoping.

Dealer changed the ParkSense module but it immediately failed. Turns out there’s a short and the entire wire harness needs changed.
