I'd say all of it if your going to do your bumper as well. If not leave the inserts chrome.

I would pull the grill off or at least put something behind it so you don't spray the radiators. Spray the whole thing, I think it'll turn out nice.
Good luck and happy wheeling!

well I'm not going to spray the bumper so do you think I should just do the cross in the middle and the rams horn? leave the inserts chrome?

I would reccomend pulling it all apart and doing the grille frame black and then leave the fins chrome and see how you like that

Yes, this is right. Once you get the grille off, the inserts have multiple tabs that snap onto the grille. They can be a pain. You have to keep the first ones from snapping back onto the grille as you move on to the next ones. I used 2 or 3 plastic trim sticks so I could leave one or two in place while I worked with the third to unsnap the next tabs. Just be patient and you'll get it.

Do you think me and my dad could do it okay if we did it together? seems easy enough. I'll lay down some newspaper and spray it on the drive way. thanks for the help guys!

I removed the grill assembly and took off the emblem. I just taped the fins. Not to bad to do.
