gonna change the plugs later today if i can manage to find a store with 16. in looking around on the old interweb, came up on some info about indexing the plugs so they face the fuel mixture not the cylinder wall. just wondering if anyone has taken the time to do this. i can only imagine how much of a pain in the ass this would be with the 5.7 and how deep the plugs go in.

Only plugs I know that have been indexed were in 2 full race motors. I dont think it will show any gain in a DD.

I would say if you were doing a race motor and had the heads off thats the easiest time to index. The other day I almost broke a sweat tossing in 16 plugs on a set of Jeep heads on the bench lol. That makes doing the plugs a breeze at 5 mins.

Its a complete waste of time unless you are taking the truck to the track.
I did it in my Big Twin on my Harley and noticed nothing. no change in performance or gas milage. I did notice one thing, it tokk me 2 times as long to change out the plugs!!!!!
