So I had the pleasure of walking out to a smashed rear slider window on my 2019 1500 Classic Warlock.

Thankfully nothing of value in the truck but they made a mess inside and some scratches on the outside.

I live in a high rise community, gated, with security etc (which is another story on how this was able to happen), but the most surprising part is I learnt today that the alarm on my Ram doesn't activate unless someone uses the door handle to gain entry.

Is this correct? If so, let me shake my head at what a ridiculous system Ram has installed and how I had to learn the hard way.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions for upgrading the alarm to one that includes glass breakage, motion inside etc?

Aftermarket alarm shop.
Decades ago in my 71 Challenger R/T I had a 'convertible' alarm. Creates a preset perimeter around the car, anything breaks the signal, alarm goes off.
Had fun telling people to reach in the open window and watching them jump.

You are correct about the alarm will sound only if a door is opened. You can add a shock sensor to the factory alarm

Thanks for all the replies guys. Will look in to getting that shock sensor alarm off Amazon. Any idea if this will void a warranty on a new truck? Mine is only 6 months only.
