Power Steering going out?

This is my first time to the forum.

My power steering tends to get tough on cornering. At times it catches and then releases as if the power steering is working again. It happens real quick. Does anyone have suggestions? Any tips?

Welcome to the forum. Can you give us some more information on your rig? Is it electric or hydraulic powers towering?

The electric steering racks have been known to give trouble.With a 2018 you should still be under warrenty.

This is why il never own a vehicle with electric steering i dont like it reg power steering there is little chance of failure i have never had a pump go bad on me.

You've been lucky then,i've had hoses blow / pumps go bad etc. The electric rack is far superior in my opinion,even if it goes south the truck is still drive-able,when a power steering pump goes bad and seizes you're pretty well hooped ,you're either fixing it on the spot or it's tow truck time
