Anyone broken a power steering rack? I know in the toyota tacoma world if you start pushing the truck hard offroad the steering racks start to break.

Yup, mine went. It wasn't from off roading though, it just went from normal use. Truck had 77k on it and I had lifted it maybe 1k miles before. Then the new one blew 2k miles later.
After doing research when the first one went I found the racks are fine in our trucks but you have to use the ATF+4 fluid, any different fluid can cause the seals to fail.
In hindsite, I think they may have topped off my PS fluid when they lifted my truck and possibly used the wrong fluid. Ans possibly there was some left in the system causing the second rack to fail.
It was a good thing I paid the ridiculous $850 to have it replaced with a genuine Mopar rack that was warrantied for 48 months so I got the second one free.
It's been about 10k miles since and no issues now. But, every time I hear a whine I do pucker a bit.LOL.
