At 55 psi those 35's will support over 12,000 lbs combined, whereas, even the 2021 Power Wagon is listed at a 7,055 pounds curb weight and its GVWR is listed at 8,565. A tire pressure of as low as 30 psi exceeds that.
Putting 35's on stock 8" wide wheels using the chalk test isn't such a bad idea since the Toyo R/T 35 12.50R17 recommended minimum wheel width is 8.5" per the manufacturer. If 55 psi is what you determined, then that's it. I found that my Toyo C/T's weren't even touching the outside tread lugs until they were aired down below 40 psi.
