Sorry! I believe it was something like 35.2 in. The other option was 34.8 or something close to that. I wanted to error on going slower than the speedometer as the Troopers are on my back road regularly and the speed limit is 45. Super hard not to speed on that road especially after work when I’m ready to be home.

I would think at either of those your speedo would be off pretty far which can affect your shift points.

I had to drive it about 6 weeks before I got the Taser. Definitely needed the calibration. After calibration, it went back to shifting like factory setting/factory tires.

I stuffed a new 35 12.50R17 Toyo C/T at 40 PSI in the spare location. That's at full pressure to what I run them at. Other than lightly taking some of the paint off of the rear Trac bar at full articulation, its a tight fit. There's enough room to slide a beer box piece of cardboard vertical between it and the tire. No issues with the sides or trailer hitch mount in mounting it up. I had to reposition the wire harnesses by stuffing them up higher out of the way and fastening them tight with zip ties. Didn't disconnect to do so. Takes some maneuvering to get it into the 34 and 1/8" Trac bar to trailer mount space.

Colorado has a traction code 16 which requires all vehicles to run chains. On both my 285 75R17 and 35 12.50R17 tires I have run Titan steel chains with cam tightners. The parking brake cable had a clearance issue. On my 2016 it is attached to the frame by a wire bracket. Had to bend it way in to give the chains some additional clearance. This style of bracket I believe was redesigned in the newer models. The chains need to be centered on the tire or they will hit the cable. Otherwise, the clearance is 1" when the chains are centered. I use heavy duty rubber tensioners to be certain that the chains stay centered. Haven’t touched it yet even with extreme weather use of tire chains when stuck and spinning in mud and snow with the lockers engaged in 4 low.

Thanks Grand Mesa. Are you Running Stock Wheels ? Being able to fit Chains on 35's was my biggest concern. Will be going to them. When I replace my Duratracs.

At 55 psi those 35's will support over 12,000 lbs combined, whereas, even the 2021 Power Wagon is listed at a 7,055 pounds curb weight and its GVWR is listed at 8,565. A tire pressure of as low as 30 psi exceeds that.

Putting 35's on stock 8" wide wheels using the chalk test isn't such a bad idea since the Toyo R/T 35 12.50R17 recommended minimum wheel width is 8.5" per the manufacturer. If 55 psi is what you determined, then that's it. I found that my Toyo C/T's weren't even touching the outside tread lugs until they were aired down below 40 psi.

Just went and measured mine. 33 1/2 at 50 PSI. Not sure why that threw my speedo off so much. I used GPS to determine my actually speed. The Taser set at 35 inch is spot on with the GPS. I don’t know????

Yes that is what the tire shop had them at not what i will leave them at. They are on aev wheels ie 8.5” wide. I measured them in response to Alredneck who was using ~35” which seemed way high to me. I used 33.7 and my speedo is dead nuts on. I have never had luck with the chalk test as it always shows the same no matter where i have my psi. I use the 10% rule which has served me well for at least 30 years since learning about it.

My GPS speedometer app gets thrown off a bit with the mountain grades around here, since it doesn't account for the elevation gained and lossed while wiggling in and out of our canyons.

Got a straight section of Interstate 70 in Clifton, Colorado of which the freeway is somewhat straight. It was used in the 1970 filming of Vanishing Point where Kolwaski jumped a Dodge Challenger into the on-coming traffic while being pursued by the Colorado State Patrol. There's still not even a cable in-between this section of highway and so its still possible to jump across it. The freeway hasn't changed one bit since then, but the concrete roadway has vastly deteriorated. It tosses even my Power Wagon up and down in the air at the 75 MPH speeds with an assortment of whoopee-dos. It was difficult to hold a steady speed out there in order to get the speedometer calibrated close enough.

Using speed track gps app. Double checked it and was approximately 4/10 MPH off at 70 mph. I do air up and use bags for heavy payloads. I calibrated speedo at 65 psi in wheels so probably spot on with tires fully inflated.

I have not heard anything about them. If they are indeed made by Falken I wouldnt hesitate to try them. They are 3 ply sidewall.

Yeah I can't say I've heard anything about their 4WP tires, good or bad.

I can't speak to Falken's quality as I've never run them on any of my vehicles.

I do know another PW owner out here that has the AT3's and swears by them though.

I just got back from Moab and I have to say the Toyo RT's in 35/12.5-17 did outstanding. It is 768 miles from my house to Moab and we drove there in 12 hours and back in 12 hours going left at 5am and pulled in at 5pm and coming back left at 4am and pulled in at 4pm so driving speed was well over 70mph average and got 15mpg hand figured for round trip. quiet and smooth and were awesome on the trails. I only aired down to 30psi and still never slipped. Heck I never even worried about not carrying a matching spare and we did the white rim trail where this time of year you do not see a soul lol. two full days on the white rim and saw 2 other vehicles.

My last puncture was a rock puncture at Marjum Pass, Utah of a Load Range E Cooper S/T Maxx tire last year. I had a matching spare and quickly fixed the issue. The rock puncture took me five long truck plugs to seal it. Within 1/4 mile of my flat was another older model 4x4 pickup already jacked up and with a tire removed. The driver must have walked the 45 miles into Delta, Utah. Nothing else out there otherwise except lots of sharp rocks and Death Canyon.



I trusted those Cooper S/T Maxx tires, but not enough to not carry a full size spare along. Discount Tire gave me a good prorated refund on that used tire of about a half what I had paid for it new, when I purchased my new Toyo tires this year.

How many miles have you put on the C/T's? Firsthand thoughts on snow/ice so far? Not sure how much snow y'all have received on that side, we have about 2" on the ground right now over here.

Today's snowfall was a dusting of some 0.001". Have around 1,000 miles on the C/T's. They ride quite nice at 38 PSI hot when its around 32 degrees Fahrenheit. No noticeable wear. Still can see the molding stumbles. There's been not much snow/ice here yet. I am at 6,000 feet elevation and its dry ground. There's snow up the road at about 10,000 feet, but nothing substantial.
