Premium cluster 40k miles

I got another 13' premium cluster another one that won't read the tire pressure on my 15 ... 41768 miles this is a plug n play upgrade for 13 an 14 rams ... it will work in 15 but it will not read the tire pressure ... 425$ shipped an insured to the lower 48 .... pm me if ur intrested or have any questions ...thanx

is this a known issue? How many miles did you go to try? Or is it incompatible for some reason? I only ask cause I just bought one of these myself.

The 13 and 14 Rams use a different TPMS than the 15 and up. It's a good idea to plug it in to make sure it's not compatible but it most likley won't work. Everything else will work fine it just won't show your tire pressure.

Rick I have a 14 Ram with a 16 cluster and no TPMS or any issues.

Yea I have heard of the newer speedometers working on the older trucks but for some reason it seems like it won't work the other way. In other words a 16 will work on a 14 but a 14 won't work on a 16 from what I have seen. Brakeblkram has tryed three of them and none of them work. Not even going to pretend I have any idea why.

Most likely the firmware is written backwards compatible(16 works in 14) but not forward compatible.
The older clusters probably don't have option/settings in them to recognize the newer trucks.
Has anyone checked if the dealer can update/add the sales code to the cluster for it to work?

JRG, if you are asking me yes everything showed up the minute I started the truck though I didn't go looking for my TPMS. Actually I just got new tires on and checked it after they were installed but you get the point.

Lol I did tell him to buy one of yours! JRG 18 check yours when you get it to see if it works....you never know it might be out of a later model and could work. In all of the ones I have seen the TPMS displays instantly. If it doesn't work for your truck you should be able to easily sell it and most likely make money. Then you can buy one for the correct year.

If I drive my truck when we head down to S. Florida at the end of the month and you haven't sold your's yet we can work something out because the guy that is programming my hours and such on my truck is there so if yours is a 14 I can have that one reset instead of the one in my truck.
