Puddle lights?

Anyone add puddle lights, perhaps leds under the truck that light the ground near the doors when the doors open?

Ive seen kits, but they are pricey. Id like to do something myself..

I had some in my door( the white ones ) at the bottom of my doors on my sierra. That was home made

I have them on my towing mirrors on my ' 14 2500 4x4.

Yeah, i don't have them in my factory Express mirrors. I plan on upgrading to tow mirrors, but i still don't have a need for puddle-lit tow mirrors.

What i want is to light the ground underneath a step bar.. so mounting strips on the underside of the truck bright enough to light the ground only, when the door opens.

I have the mirror ones. problem with them is the bottoms of the doors shadow them. I plan to upgrade my inerior lighting as soon as I find what I want.

They come with the AMP steps. You should be able to do the same thing and tie into the dome light switch.
