I like that also, may do the same.
The badges are easy to take off. I used "waxed" dental floss and sawed back and forth behind the badge. Remaining adhesive on the truck comes off by lifting an edge and slowly lifting up and pulling backward at a 45* angle.
The adhesive left on the badges, I simply scraped off with my thumbnail.
Tip: If using the emblem tape I mention in a previous post, remember to use the foam tape adhesive promoter on the badges and not the door!
Tip: Clean off any residue on the door before applying badges with something that won't affect the paint. I used goof-off regular not the strong but I believe you can use anything with an alcohol base and not solvent based. Confirm with a professional before you use anything.
On install, for spacing, I started the first letter 3/4" down from the straight door line and 1-1/2" from the left of the door edge. I measured down from the straight door line 2-1/4" and ran some green painters tape that enabled me to mark my spacing and ensure a straight line. The letters were spaced 1/2" apart at the closest edge. I used 5" spacing between the Ram letters and start of the 3500. From there I spaced the numbers 1-1/2" apart.
On the passenger side, I had to reverse and start with the numbers. 1-1/2" from the right starting with "0" and then 1-1/2" between numbers, over 5" from the "3" to the start of the RAM letters then 1/2" between the letters.
I had my truck in for service recently and everyone was coming out and pointing at my truck. Everyone liked the different look! Nice and clean with no clutter.
