Trying to install new harness, and am down to the last connector to put in white block... the white connector with green and white wires. If I plug it into any available hole, there aren’t any connectors with wires on the other side. Do I disconnect current white plug with green/white wires and replace it with the new green/white wire connector or put it in empty hole? The instructions with pictures show wires at the bottom of white block but mine does not have all of those, my truck is a Tradesman. The white connector with the green and white wire is the stock wire.2096EADD-441C-4EB4-8A6C-DB39A98D642F.jpeg

I think just plugging into any of the empty spots will work just fine. That's what I did on mine.

Ok, but it looks like it will not be connected to anything, it would just hold the connector.

Yeah, that wouldn't make any sense. There would be no point in plugging it into a socket with no wires. I don't have a harness yet, but am planning to get one. My truck is an Express, but I haven't taken mine apart so I don't know if it looks like yours. I'll be curious as to what the answer is.

Update: Today, I switched the green and white wire from the security bypass harness and replaced the green and white wire that was factory and still am not able to proceed with alpha obd. I change the connectors back, put the tools up and went onto something else. I might have some other issues such as Bluetooth , operator error, etc. I’m doing this in my driveway using a Samsung tablet that says Bluetooth connection, but I don’t know what else to do. Any alpha gurus might know? I get to where you can type in mileage and can’t go any further. I entered my vin # in the past and does not ask for it anymore (I guess it’s storing it?) I’m trying to change my mileage on premium cluster.

I press start and nothing happens and then I lose a connection. Sometimes it then says “not connected”. I’m using a 2016 Samsung Galaxy Tab A.

It is a OBDLINK MX+, I reconnected the green and white wire from bypass harness and removed stock green and white wire harness. This is the only way to get this far; it looks like it will almost do it. When I turn off ignition switch and turn back on, wait for startups, I then click ok and then that’s when it says it cannot connect. It kicks off Samsung Bluetooth and button grays out. Maybe I need to reset the alphaobd app and start over, I could have clicked on something wrong when I first attempted this.

You shouldn’t have to unplug any wires from your truck .
Did you get the bypass harness from M2Mods ?

If I just plug it in as they told me, I won’t get as far. My truck is not loaded with connectors on the green block.

Bought from Kaodtech and have sent them two more emails at their website in the past two weeks. Have not heard back from them.
