I was wondering if just a dsp will make a big difference in sound quality.. just spent 50k on a new truck and dont want to spend a ton moreor tear everything apart...idea's?? How about a plain amp swap?? Do they have 10 channel amps?
Thanks in advance..

There is no plug and play amp to replace the alpine that will make a significant difference. Kicker makes one but the specs are not that much better considering the cost. Most who add a DSP also add aftermarket amps. There is a guy on here named dengland that is using a JBL MS-8 to tune and power all (or at least most) of the factory speakers. He is a member here but his main build thread is on another forum. If you are considering going this route his thread is definitely worth a read.

I replaced the factory sub with an aftermarket amp and 2 10" subs. Obviously this made a big improvement but for my taste in music I wish I had gone with 12's.

I also replaced all of the dash and door speakers with Infinity Reference 2ohm. This made a HUGE difference in the overall sound quality and volume of the system. The 'premium' speakers are also 2 ohm so using 2 ohm replacements will make sure you are getting all you can out of your factory amp.

I picked up all 3 sets plus adapters and harnesses for under $300. If I was to start over I would have do this first.

Here is a link to my build thread if you are interested Upgrading the factory alpine system

Yes, a DSP will improve sound quality...will it be a "big" difference? That's subjective, but a dsp will help improve sound.
More power will always help improve sound as well.
Higher performance speakers will help improve sound too.
you see a trend?....simply depends how much you are willing to spend, and what level of performance will make you happy in the end.

There is a kit called 77KICK42 that will replace doors and all three dash speakers. Adding a DSP to an amp that Alpine already has a DSP in will be fun to tune.

What exactly is it that ur unhappy with? Volume, clarity, imaging etc etc? If u tell what exactly you would like to improve, we can probably help guide you a little better.

I added the 77KICK42 to the dash and front doors. I will have to say that those really increased the front bass and highs. After the last firmware update to my amp and stereo, the system really rocks now. Hoping to get the 77KICK41 for Christmas to put in the rear doors. Overall, I am pretty happy with my system now, and the rear door speaker upgrade should really make the difference.

BTW, there is enough bass in the system with the 77KICK42 upgrade that I don't feel the need to upgrade the subwoofer now.
