Radio problems ucoonect

Hi all. Im new here.
I have some trouble whit my 2016 ram 1500. The sterio freezes up. I have no volum control but can swich from am to fm. When it starts up there is sound in the speakers until the watch comes on. Then its silent. Cant ad phone. Also goes back to default in settings everytime i turn it of.
I have tryed soft start, fuses and left it for houers. I can see other that have the same problem.
Do anyone have a fix for this?
We do not have that many dealers in norway for this var so i realy need help.

Sadly these radios have many problems. It is most likely an internal radio problem. I can’t imagine how expensive it would be to replace in Norway! If you need a new radio I would suggest you use someone here in the USA or Canada to purchase a new one and ship it to you. Quite possibly it will be less expensive. Even if you do that I don’t know if a North American radio will work on a Norwegian vehicle. You can try a hard reset with a power down and see if that corrects it. Disconnect the negative battery harness first then disconnect the positive harness. Turn on the headlights and touch the positive and negative harnesses together but only after they are removed from the battery or you will make a big problem. Then leave everything disconnected for one hour with the lights still on. After one hour turn the lights off and reconnect the positive and negative wiring to the battery. That should drain all the power to the electronics and reset the radio. You will lose all the settings you have in the radio and anything else that has a memory like power seats. Good luck.
