Wow, this is horrible. I'm not reading this entire thread, but his experience in the first post was unacceptable. In CA you can sue if a dealership refuses to fix a warranty item, I won 13k for this exact issue. Check your local laws.

well guys, i found my coolant fluid was barely showing on my overflow dipstick today. i am preparing for my trucks trip ti SC from NJ. drove to the dealer, Warwick dodge, jeep and Ram dealer in Warwick NY. explained what i found. the service writer at the desk came and checked, walked back inside and came out with a tech and brought it up to max fill. shined a flashlight in the engine bay to make sure there no obvious leaks. there weren't any. while this was going on, the service writer was in the truck with his hand held computer/scanner and checked for codes, recalls and need updates. all was good. when asked how much i owed them the answer was nothing, thanks for stoping by. i am posting this to let folks know, there are dealers out there who value there customers.

This is awesome, and a few bad apples, like the one in McKinney TX, won't bring down all of them. I have an awesome dealer here in San Antonio, and my Service Manager gave me his personal Cell and said if there is ever anything wrong or you don't feel like you got good service call me or text me and I'll get it fixed immediately. Took it in when an RA2 I swapped in wasn't working right, and they replaced it under warranty and added the sales code to my warranty info to cover me.

Interesting... all his posts are gone

I bet the thought that RamCares is on this forum scared the
**** out of him and deleted it. At least the posts with his quotes are still up so they can see [emoji1360]

Folks I Un-Deleted his post so feel free to direct RamCares to what he has said and they can see how their techs feel about customers... :favorites13:

and if he deletes them again, ill restore them again, if he edits them, ill un-edit them, i can restore anything he changes....

its techs like him that make what happened to me at the dealer possible, it took them a full month and a half to diagnose that my truck had a faulty fuel pump with the truck flashing "fuel system failure" on the dash when they looked at it, and then only to install the fuel pump improperly where the truck thought the gas cap wasnt installed properly when i got it back...

and for the record the truck was 100% unmodified

Either way, the dealer/tech are damned if we do and damned if we don't, either way we are still gonna have cry baby customers, it's just the industry I am in. I get it.

Honestly if you don't take care of the customer they leave. I don't know if you noticed but many brands roll out the red carpet for customers. FCA has work to do in this area. I see nothing wrong with him being pissed and airing it here. I also see nothing wrong with defending your company and brand. Both are fair and just. The problem I see is he is not alone many advisors should not even be in the advisor role because they don't know the product. Some are not even good with people. That makes the guys doing the work in the shop not represented well. Service in general is the life blood of any good dealer. They don't make the vehicle sales but probably factor heavily in the repeat ones. They also turn people into single buyers. By that I mean they buy one of brand X and then have a bad experience and move on.

In this ultra competitive market service is HUGE it will make and break the company in upcoming years. All of us here have to be open to venting both customer and also employee side. It is simply unreasonable to think a person spending their cash won't be upset. I have about 5 bad experiences in my mind with about 4 dealerships and that is just what I can recall. The customer is often wrong but should always be spoken to like they are right. The person delivering that message must be a good communicator or it is a failed interaction and customers will be lost. Carry on folks.

Yup. You got a pm brother, feel free to reshare the image.

Also, Yo People, reminder, actually consider this Rule#1 of Forum Use.

Anything you (soft) delete, edit, whatever, let me tell you, as a former Admin/Mod elsewhere, WE CAN STILL SEE AND RESTORE IT. LONG AFTER YOU'RE GONE. So that part you skipped over about playing nice, yeah, keep it in mind.

Then again with most of you buggers here it doesn't need to be said. I for one had no intention of trolling this thread, nor any other thread, you all knows, I's just calls 'em as I sees 'em. :D

SMILEY3303'S HERE TOO!! :D Whassupp man!

Let's see that image!

And thanks for bringing the whole thread back. Regardless of who's side you fall on, I think it's important to keep all posts public (in this case at least) in the interest of honesty and clarity to the dialogue this thread created. Never a bad thing to see what's on the other side of the fence [emoji482]

Brother...true and true.

By far the best customer service I've ever had at the dealer was when I had my Lexus. These dudes would come to my house with a loaner and swap me out when my car needed oil changes. I got free oil changes and free gas fill ups from time to time. The loaner was always a nice upgrade than my current car and it was already there on site ready for me to drive off if I ever had to drop my car off. Wash and vacuum was automatic....and this wasn't at one dealership...they were all like this! At least the few I went too.

Then I traded it all away for my SRT lmao.

Exactly I personally am pretty loyal to Ram because of the actual interactions with the company and how they have helped me. If it was solely of dealers I would be gone already.

Probably the best service I have ever experienced is at my local Harley dealer. They service my bike, it gets detailed every time.
Need a ride home? Never a problem.
Want something to eat or drink? Help yourself.
Addressed by name every time.

Called the Service manager one day, told him that I felt my push rods needed adjustment (I have adjustable ones and there was a little ticking at idle), so he drives over to my house, listens to the bike, and agreed that they needed adjustment. Took it in, all adjusted, no charge and bike was detailed.

Came back from a 1500 mile ride one day, service writer asked how my trip went, told him great, but now I needed to go home and wash it. He said bring it by in the morning and he would be happy to detail it for me. No charge.

That's customer service!

Meh, let it go. A few poorly thought out posts may not really express his work ethic.

Just a quick pearl of wisdom----Most of the time it's really easy to do the right thing, but for some people, they just like to go out of their way to be a *****!!!
I'm done---
