There are multiple compaints about air susp not working in cold weather climates. That's why I didn't order for my 2017.

I've had 3 Longhorns (2013 - 2017- 2020) and all of them had air suspension ... I did not have any problems with any of them and I live in Canada (speaking of cold weather) ... I can see those who go off-roading having problems with them, but if you do straight highway and around town driving, as I do, you shouldn't have a problem ...

Not to mention the fact that the air suspension system was revised for 5th gens. While air suspension systems on 4th gens had plenty of problems, especially in colder climates, there have been few issues reported in this and another forum about issues with the system on 5th gens.

I checked Costco Car buying program. They showed that the 2023 Larmie with level 2 does not include heated back seats like the 2022 model did.

I cringe now when I read that air suspension is considered a "plus". Air suspension is great...till it isn't! Just my 2 cents...

I had air suspension on my 2016 Limited Longhorn, it rode hard. Never cared for it. When I got the 2020 Laramie, I was happy to see it came with springs. Much nicer ride.

Most of the literature I recount seeing have a disclaimer that the manufacturer reserves the right to change standard or optional equipment at any time.

Oh wow didn’t know that. Thanks. Still waiting for my second build to be delivered by March 24th. Tracking the production , window sticker still doesn’t include the rear heated seats in the level 2 option. Guess I’m out of luck. Dealer claimed they would either refund me the deposit and my trade in or install the seats. I just don’t want 3rd party seats just own. Not sure if they would do that. Guess I’ll find out sooner then later.

They should have an aftermarket accessory installer on the payroll. It is super easy to just add the heating pads to your current stock seats. If it has everything you want except the heated seats, give that a shot. My aftermarket seat heaters are miles better than the ones that came in my Laramie.

Uh, sorry but practically EVERYTHING, on anything, is 3rd party.
Ram don;t make al the parts that go into a truck or any car.
almost all if it is 3rd party, from lowest bidders.

That's why so many of us, MOD-ify our trucks.
Add things we did get with our trim levels, and want.
Get rid of the junk parts, for better, 3rd quality versions.

I have had 3 rams since 2009 with the air suspension. 14 years of Idaho winters and never had a problem. I have one pickup that has aftermarket installed heated seats and they work well.

Anything is great until it isn't...

I have had two 1500s with 4C Air and no problems.

Do you have an obligation to purchase it? If not, then simply order the one you like with the factory options you like. If you do, then have them install the heated rear seats and be done with it. Perhaps, since it's not your fault, they can install them free of charge to you? Doesn't hurt to ask.

My local dealer would have absolutely done this (install at N/C) and it would have the factory warranty as well.
