Core 4x4 are not what they advertise, are not sealed, and will seize up after one salty winter. Grunt Fab arms are larger outside diameter, sealed, and fully rig welded.
Core claims 1.5" OD, I claim 1 7/8".
You do the math

It was unclear. Did you use a tig welder, or a mig welder?

What application is this lower control arm designed for?

You developed a nice robust but adjustable link and added more flexibility in the joint , so I’d presume lifted extreme off-road.

Also, not to be devil's advocate but the diameter of the rod stud presents a strength concern when you start getting further away from the eye.

Ok good, because the first 48 times you said “tig welded” instead of just welded like a normal human being was a little unclear. Thanks for specifying!

Core and Grunt fab rod ends are the same length

Grunt Fab and core both use the same length rod end, and overall measurements are the same.

What I do not understand, is why core 4x4 lies about their size of their tubes.
They claim 1.5" OD, 5/16" wall thickness. Clearly advertised size is NO WHERE near actual size of 1 3/4" OD, 1/4" wall thickness.

Grunt Fab's advertised OD is 1 7/8", 3/16" wall thickness. Core uses unsealed joints that WILL seize up with mud or snow, while Grunt Fab uses sealed greased joints.
Grunt Fabs joints also flex 10° more then core...for the same price.

Grunt Fab arms are designed to survive salty northern winters, and muddy applications since they are greased and sealed. Core are unsealed.
Grunt fan joints also flex 10° more than core 4x4...for the same price.

You want some true real world northern testing? I’m from the far northern Ontario region where we hit -55 Celsius for over a week straight and regularly -40 Celsius for months. We also salt the roads here like it’s going out of style.

Flow me a pair and I’ll do some harsh testing and tell everyone where I got them :p. Haha for real though when will they be available?

Did a joint flex test today between core 4x4 joints and Grunt Fab SPC sealed joints. Grunt fab flex 10° more than unsealed currie johnny joints...and won't seize up like unsealed core 4x4 joints in mud or salt.

How much for uppers and lowers, and available in different colors? Painted or powder coated?
