Having had much Sway and an unsettled rear end, that had progressively gotten worse, I decided to replace all rear components.

Having the aev lift, with rear 3" freedom springs (not stock springs with aev spacers), it was time to try to fix this problem.

Delivery was fairly quick. BUT, their arms are no different than any other kit on line. They're cheaper than core and the like, but more expensive than the generic brands.
I did not need adjustable arms, so I'm not overly concerned. But with duties at the border, these arms became about par with mevotech .

They aren't completely a waste. They'll do fine for now, but the extra money for the same products made in Taiwan doesn't add up.

The fit and finish is okay, though they won't do well aesthetically past one winter.

The ride is slightly better, but hasn't been driven enough to determine if the rear end sway/loose feeling, has been fixed.

Cheers

I have had core. Freedom and apoc. The apoc are on par with core but cost less. Core quality has changed in my opinion when they went to the town trail and race format for their bars. Can't tell the difference between town and trail except for the price.

Having placed the freedoms side by side with the generic. They were of the same manufacture.
As for performance. The truck is much more stable than the worn out lowers from factory.
The lt285/75r18 tires still are rougher than the stock P tires, but much more secure .

Next on the docket is sorting the front end height with with the aev sway bar extensions.
They're too long to keep the sway bar 90*. It's similar to a lowered truck, pushing the sway bar on an up angle.

Trying some f150 2wds to shorten the overall link lengths

I've had the f150 2wd on my 4/6 lowered ram RT. In 4 years. I've snapped 2 sets over 50k miles. I didn't use Ford oem, they were aftermarket but after 2 sets, I put my oem Ram back on, no issues in about 10k. I hope it works out for you. My experience, I hope yours is better.

So you're saying the freedom off-road arms are essentially the same as similar ones from generic suppliers off Amazon and eBay?

They appear to be, and both were made in Taiwan.
I have no proof, nor any negativity towards freedom. Just observations.
I am happy with the results, but appears I could have gone cheaper.

Before winter I'll have them line x'd for a more durable coating.

I bought a no name panhard bard from eBay and it looked identical to the freedom off-road stuff. Figured it was the same with the control arms.

Has anyone used just the regular old Moog rear control arms? I'm just looking for regular old control arms, don't need adjustable or any off road beefiness/durability. I was leaning heavily towards the Freedoms, but then came across this post. Moog upper and lower for the rear are like $175 on rock auto. I also need a track bar, based on the above I can just get a Moog or any other brand, rather than go with a Freedom.
