Remote start question

I recently bought a 2014 Ram 2500 diesel Laramie from car max. I have the key fob pictured. I daughter just remote started it. She claims she hit the lock button twice. I attempted to reporoduce it and have not been able to. I just assumed this truck did not have remote start, but apparently it does. What is the button sequence to use remote start, with the key fob pictured.

That’s a new one for me. I thought you had to have the remote start symbol to remote start it. Also on remote start the fuel light can not be on or it won’t work. You can go on the ram site and enter ur vin and see what options your truck came with when new, I don’t have the link off hand, someone should post it shortly.

The button it would be is top right button just below your lock button. Press it twice. The truck will beep twice then start as long as fuel is above about 1/4 tank and all doors are closed tight. A partially latched door will prevent it from starting.

Most aftermarket remote starts that use the factory key fob use the lock button 3x, so try hitting it 3 instead of 2. You can also look up behind your steering wheel and see if there’s a small black box of some sort. Wires would be either spliced or a splitter harness used behind the headlight switch, the ignition, and the obd data port.

I did some more research and Figured out I have to hit the lock button three times. So it must be aftermarket.
