Received the 430 RBZ today. Install took 10 minutes and the Ram logo splash screen came up on the first boot. Everything works perfectly!! :pepper::pepper:

The longest part of the whole process was being on the phone with Sirius to switch my paid subscription over. That was a $15 rip off if you ask me. All they do is enter the ID on my account and send an activation signal.

Ray is your software out of date like mine? Do you know of a way to update it?

Yeah, my software is also out of date. Actually, one below your software.

This is what I found. There were two different manufactures Mitsubishi and I think Becker. The ones that we have with 08.05.02 use a different software than that one on the jeep forum. Those have software numbers like 33.01.23

The latest software for ours is 10.00.11

The normal link is bad, but I downloaded it from a german site and Mine updated fine.

Here is the link: http://www.mydrive.ch/browse#/7518313/MyGIG RBZ - RB2

To log on for the software downloads, The username is mygig@soxag and the password is gasolio

Look for MYGIG RBZ/RB2 and download the latest version - RB2 10.00.11.ISO

1. Burn it to a cdr as an ISO
2. Turn the key to ON (not ACC)
3. Turn the radio OFF
4. Press load and insert the CDR
5. Follow the onscreen instructions - Press yes to update to 10.00.11

Mine froze after the first stage, but when I turned off the key a couple of times it rebooted and was updated to 10.00.11

Just emailed it to you, but if it doesn't work, Here is a different link to all of the mygig files. Look for the rbz-rb2 like I listed before:

1. the raw files MyDrive - MyDrive - Ihr Schweizer Online-Speicher

Like I said, Mine froze when the bottom status bar (total progress I think) was about half way. I got scared I screwed it up and walked away for like 10 minutes. When I got back, the screen was blank and I started and shut off the truck a couple of times and it was all good.

Yes, mine froze at Flash Audio CPU Software which is the 2nd module and half way through the over all update. The first time I tried it I left it for about 10 minutes and it didn't update. I restarted the process choosing to update over the first try and it still hung. It works, but I don't I got 100% of the update done. The system screen does read the new update though.

Thanks again!

Some of my screens have since changed since the update. I now have a video tab in several screens where I did not previously have them.

I contacted the seller to see if he also has access to the uConnect module. I will let you know if he does or not. He also posted three more radios the other day, but they have scratched screens.

Did they change right after the update or did the video tab just show up after a bunch of power cycles?

I still think it's weird that we used the same update file and yours boots up with a Chrysler splash screen and mine went from Chrysler to Jeep.

If I download this update I may have either a chrysler or dodge symbol? Can I pay the dealer for these updates?

the logo only shows up for a few seconds when booting up. There's a lot of conflicting info on a few different forums, but I think if a dealer flashes the sales code to the truck, the splash screen would be correct for the vehicle.

I just don't want to pay a dealer $100 to see the correct logo for the couple seconds it shows during start up.

The screens just recently changed. The radio has probably gone through 20-30 power cycles.

The seller says he doesn't have access to the vehicles. I think he gets radios from a wrecking yard.

So in the 12's do we need the radio with the screw mounts on the sides or on top and bottom.

I think they are all the same, with mounting on the sides, from 2009-2012. I have a friend who told me that if I ended up with a radio with mounting on the top and bottom that I could just change out the chassis from my old radio. They supposedly can easily be swapped, but I don't really know for sure.

So, I have the 2011 ram and updated mine with the download from the jeep forums. Mine says 33.01.23 . I looked on the site you mentioned and they have the 10 for download but also the 33.01.23 which i think is the latest. We have the same radios so that should update for you. I guess i could be wrong, just trying to help.

From my research, there are at least two different operating systems and two different manufacturers of High Speed Bus RBZ radios. My radio would not even recognize the Jeep update.

That's very interesting. Mine is a blue theme and I hate it. If I can load the other one, maybe it has more features. Or maybe I will brick it. Decisions decisions ;)

I doubt you can brick it. I think the updates either are recognized or they are not. My update took several attempts but eventually worked, even then the radio still worked after a failed update.

If I understand it, one version is made by Mitsubishi and the other version is made by Harmon-Becker. I'm not clear on what dates are which. One uses versions like 33.01.23 and the one I have had software 08.05.02 which is the other type. the latest I could find for my type is 10.00.11

Before I found this out I tried 33.01.23 and it didn't recognize it as an update.
