I have the 2011 standard 2 door, and I want some black rims for it. The rim I have says 17x7 and the tire says 265/70 R17. I found rims I want that are 17x8.5. Would this fit without getting new tires? If not, what is the lowest I could get? Thanks!

Yes, your tires should fit. Based on your tire size, that should be about a 31.5x10.5. So that would leave you with about an inch of tire on each side of the wheel. However, and this is strictly my opinion and thoughts so maybe someone else will chime, but when you have a wheel that is almost as wide as the tire itself, damage to the wheel becomes greater if you take a turn too tight and hit a curb or something because you don't have as much tire outside of the wheel to help take the beating.

Also, I know a lot of people get 35x12.50 tires and put them on 10" wide wheels. That's fairly close to what you would have. Just something to use as comparison.

Yeah, they will fit fine. You could run them with a 9" wide rim if you want.
