I'm sure there is an extra charge for this. Does anyone know how much more it is than regular balancing?

Just my opine, but unless you are having an issue, no need to go out of your way for this.

it usually runs $80-$100 to road force balance all four, depending where you go.
I'm lucky...I know a guy and it cost me $40, same as regular balance!
Hell yeah!!!!

I don't think our big tires need this type of balancing unless your having a balance problem, I have had it done only on my Miata and it made a big difference.

I have done road force balancing on my Audi. For that specific car I would get shaking around 80-90 that only road force balancing cured.

I used to own a 500hp supercharged 2004 Mercury Marauder. I had the stock rear rims widened to fit huge Nitto 555R's. I went through 3 sets of those in 25-30K miles (they are a very soft street legal drag radial). Each set I had road force balanced prior to purchase. Never had an issue.

Its not too expensive if I recall and worth the money for more of a performance standpoint. I'm not sure I'd be doing it on a set of pickup tires...but that's me.

Bought some tires at discount years ago and they did the normal spin balance, drove off and at hwy speeds I got some vibes, took it back and they did the road force balance for free and no more vibes, rode very smooth. Since then I always get road force balance, why risk having to come back and wasting my time for a few dollars. I would rather have it done right the first time.
