hii there everyone
i got a ram 1500 2011 laramie and i have installed a 2.5 daystar lift kit. but now am thinking of getting a 4 inch lift kit .
am using my ram in lots of offroad trips rocks sand you name it , and i need more clearance 4 inch will be perfect 6 inch will be to much, as if i get a 6 inch am afraid that my 315/70/17 will look to small for my truck, or am i wrong about that ?
and i dont wanna buy new tiers ..
but the problem about rough contry that i saw some reviews that they are bad quality ? is that true?
and about the body lifts , will they do me any good in ground clearance as what i understand that the lower suspension will be the same and i will not get any clearance ?

One thing a body lift does is allow more space for bigger tires which bigger tires will help with clearence, and will help with body clearence. So if you were gonna hit something with your bumper before, after you might not hit it.
Now with RC lifts i think they are fine on smaller/lighter trucks. If you do a lot of flexing, bouncing around id go with something more reliable. Pro Comps are real good lifts, expensive but good.
Just my 2cents. I did a lot of research when i wanted to lift my truck.

IMO and experience all white body shocks / kits are well , cheap for a reason . They are affordable and are ok for the look .. but lack in performance .

We do have a RC vendor on RF that has some good deals .

But like I said and always say you get what you pay for .. EVERYONE HAS A OPINION

RC used to have lower quality standards in the past. The new stuff is much nicer but by no means the top of the line

thank you all for the reply .
correct me please if am wrong
1. 6 inch lift will not look small for my 315/70/17 tiers
2. RC is a good lift kit but not the best.
tell now i didnt find anyone using them and gone offroading .. i wish i can get a clear overview.
if i could pay more than 2000$ i think i should take the mopar kit and keep my warnty.
these are some links i found they have most of the companys , the ZONE lift kit has a nice price also .
one more thing the shocks , there are hydro and nytro . what is better and why?

my wife is gonna kill me if i got the 6inch:killer:

1. Correct. Going to need at least 35" if you plant to do off roading. If it's a pavement pounder, 37".

2. Correct.

3. The Mopar kit is way over priced. There are several other companies that make lifts that cost a lot less. And, your dealership can't void your warranty just for putting a lift on. Check out SEMA action network. It's against the law to void a warranty for installing an aftermarket part.

4. Zone is the sister company to BDS. Myself and a few others run the Zone and are quite happy with them.

5. Here is a link to the shocks you were asking about.

I run 315s in the winter. I have about 8" of lift (6" BDS + Bilstein 5100 @ 2.1"). This is roughly what your truck would look like...

Your 315s (almost 35s) will be fine with the 6" but youll have room for some bigger ones in the future.
Mopar lift would be at the bottom of my list of choices

I have several friends with RC lifts on there jeeps that see tons of abuse without any problems

Some people give rough country products a hard time. I myself had run rough country lifts on my personal vehicles for several years. a few years ago they did have some of the cheaper kits (mainly for chevys) that came with a dropped lower A arm that had some issues with ride quality and off road capability. they have since corrected and redesigned those kits so all of there kits have the best possible ride while also making very off road capable. Some kits have more of a stock like ride then others.

The 4" kit your looking at is a very high quality lift. It holds your factory ride quality while making your truck be able to handle some rough terrian. The kit lifts with new front spindles/knuckles, strut spacers. It also drops the front diff to keep your angles correct and safe along with new dropped cross members. you also get new extended sway bar links. This kit does not come with your standard "white body shocks" either. comes with rough country's newest and highest quality shock.

hope this helps you some!

Ryan.
