Going though a '96 5.9L 1500 I picked up earlier this year. The backplates are rusted out, so hitting the local pick and pulls, since they have some newer year candidates. <$30 beats $240 for the pair. Brake and fuel lines are rusty and gauge doesn't work. Thought I would replace everything that needs to be accessed. Got a set of pre-bent SS brake lines and found a pre-bent fuel line at a good price. Found an old stock Airtex pump at a great price. Can't find pump to hard line hoses, except hard line to rail. From what I read, the fuel lines are pressurized to rail pressure? I'm looking at 6AN push/click hose adapters. Anyone have any experience with this? Any special tools to use? I don't see the sense in using the old hoses. Couldn't find anything using search.
