Seeking confirmation of sport bumper over chrome bumper 2014

Prompted by a fender bender I am looking for confirmation that I can install a sport plastic bumper cover over my steel bumper.
Did alot of reading and seems pretty well confirmed that this can be done on earlier Rams. Basically you remove the filler panel above the steel bumper and the lower valance from below the steel bumper. Your steel bumper then acts as the impact bar behind the sport bumper just like the OE plastic impact bar.
I looked at videos disassembling both the steel bumper and the plastic bumper cover and it looks like the steel bumper just stays on the truck with the fog lights just like the impact bar stays on the truck with the fogs as well.
I just couldn't find confirmation that this will work on a '14. Anybody do this?

No, you can't just put the plastic sport bumper over your chrome bumper. You need more parts then just the bumper to do the conversion. Somewhere on here is a thread that tells you what all you need.

I've read where the third gen guys have done it successfully, just looking for fourth gens that have tried. Go or No Go.

3rd gen is a whole different truck, 4th gen you have to replace all the parts listed in the link I posted above....
