So far read a couple threads about people saying upgrading from the OEM shocks makes a huge difference. What should I buy for my 2014 2500? I don't tow a whole lot and if I do it won't be over 9,500. Very rare towing. What would y'all suggest and part number of y'all could :).

bilstein 5100's are good for the price, but I have Fox 2.0's ready to go on my 2016. I have the fronts, just need to buy the rears still... I took the fronts off my F250 (had them on for 4 months before selling), and they are nice shocks...

I ran the Bilsteins on my 2015 and it was a decent upgrade. My female copilot complained that the truck gave her motion sickness before the Bilsteins. She said they were a "huge" upgrade. Worth the money.

FIrst off, most who go billstiens are in a 1500, not a 2500. 1500 objective was a car liek a ride as possible. For those of us who had trucks, for decades, we hated it and wanted a mroe truck like ride.

your 2500 should not be nearl so spongy as our 1500, that aid, your 2500 is nothing like my old 99 2500 and a shock replacement will definitely be an upgrade, though I am not sure the bilstein 5100 woudl be my first choise for that series of truck.

I love my 5100, on my 1500 but owuld want soemthign even stiffer for my old 2500, if I still had it.

good luck on whatever you decide to do.

I'm still running the stock shocks on my 2014 2500 Hemi and am interested to hear responses. The only experience I have that is close to relevant is when I changed shocks on my 06 2500 Silverado Duramax. The word is/was that Chevy/GM stock shocks were about as low end as possible but I ran them for about 50K miles. It was noticeable but I would hardly say new shocks were a big change. I went with the Monroe Reflex which, at the time, were well reviewed. I keep reading about these Bilstein 5100s so maybe I'll go for those. I think overall an HD truck is going to drive like and HD truck no matter the shocks. The stiffness of the suspension is what gives it the load carrying capacity and is also what makes it ride so stiff.

Bilstein has a set of 4600 series shocks designed specifically for the Ram 2500 trucks. I'm sure there are better options if you want to spend the money but for $330 I thought it was a good investment.

I'm running Fox performance 2.0 with reservoirs front and back. They ride nice.

Installed Bilstien 5100 on my 13 2500 CTD, the ride is slightly stiffer than stock. They took a lot of the side to side slop out.

Towing my 10k toy hauler is greatly improved with the new shocks, I would do it again just for this reason.

if you don't plan on carrying a load, then don't waste your money.i carry a 2500 lb. camper, tow a 1000lb boat and have 33 e rated m/t tires at 75 lbs.in the rear and i have no noticeable difference with my 5100's.i know they will outlast the stock oem's though.just my 2 cents, and not meant to criticize but it seems to me you would have been better off with a 1500 though,if you have no plans to work your truck like it is meant for.they ride really stiff with no weight in them.if you need to upgrade, look into pro comps or kyb.
