The top rail of the 2013 Ram is plastic. How do I install a side rail in that? Also the front stake pockets are closed, do I just knock the covered section out? My previous Ram 2002 had an all metal top rail so I could install the Putco side rails since the compression washer had something to expand against. But now what? Thanks

I am fairly sure the plastic bed caps are still the same as my 11. If so cut the front plugs out with a knife, follow the indention.

I was able to make metal contact with 3 out of 4 of the retainers. 1 is against the plastic insert, no problem so far.

Good luck!

You may have to cut round the indented lines in the rear also. Use a sharp carpet knife. Go slow. If you have a tonneau cover, roll it up in case to slip off.
