The free year subscription of SiriusXM guardian is going to be up soon. Anyone familiar with this ? Is it worth keeping it or just let it go? All i can tell is that I’m able to call help, remote start, lock/unlock and track truck through Uconnect app. Other than that, what are the benefits of having it?

If you use the APPS, you may want to keep it

I never used it with my 2009 Dodge Ram with the RER Radio w/ Navigation
I still have not used it with my 2016 Ram with RA 4 radio with Navigation

Both vehicles had bluetooth for Remote Start & Lock/Unlock, as well as hands free calling

My experience with remote start was unreliable at best. Occasionally the function to send a destination to the navigation system worked. Far to many $$$...

Yeah mine is up for renewal as well and I'll probably let it go. Too expensive for what it gives me IMO. If it was more reliable I would maybe think about it.

I know you can deal the price down if you call them and negotiate.

I liked the fact I could remote start the truck anywhere with my phone, till I figured out it was costing about $50 a start!

i never used mine.it's due for renewal in june,and i'm not going to bother.

I let mine expire. They sent me a survey and asked why. Told them it was to expensive for what I would use it for. After around a month they offered it to me at 1/2 price.

My insurance is about $130 a years less if I have the lost or stolen tracking that Uconnect has. I would keep it and check your insurance.

I'm not even using the free trial, I think it is very expensive for what it offers.

I paid for the service for 3 years. My truck got stolen on Thanksgiving 2021 and they could do nothing to track or locate my truck. The Sherif told me that their service never works and has always sent them on wild goose chases never recovering a single vehicle.
