So I’m employed by U-Haul. Retired from management but stayed on taking a job in the shop as a driver. I was tired of the stress but still needed something to stay busy. With a fleet of 130,000 vehicles there a never ending need for service and repairs so, I shuttle trucks to and from the field, into the shop for PM service and other repairs. It’s brainless, no stress work and I’m loving it. I’ll drive an average of 350 miles a day including my commute from home.

After getting home last night I went on a 150 mile round trip in my Ram to pick something up. At about the 100 mile mark of that trip I thought to myself how incredibly nice my truck drives and rides. After a full day of driving you’d think my only focus would be on getting home. But I was truly enjoying driving my Ram and wasn’t in a hurry for the trip to end. Just wanted to share something positive.

I enjoy traveling in mine too. I know this is an extreme example but 2 years ago the wife and I were in Sheridan, wy and left to head home to the DFW area thinking I would just drive south and stop in Raton or wherever I get tired and spend the night. well after dark the wife napped out and I just kept going all the way home. over 1100 miles. I would never do that again..probably not even safe but I got in a groove and the truck just hummed along. set on 80 much of the way. last month we went up to Red River to do some skiing and this truck is just fun to drive in the mountains. I had a '17 GMC sierra SLT 4x4 ccsb before this and it was a very nice truck but not near as much fun to drive. commercial over

I know the feeling. Many times I'll take off in the Ram and just go for a ride preferably when there is light traffic on the roads.

I know what you mean. Days like today Iam just chomping at the bit to get out and drive. 3-4" of snow and a lot of fun on the way to work!

These trucks are comfortable and a pleasure to drive. I enjoy my truck every time I get to drive her.

I appreciate the positive content and I'm right there with you. I never get tired of driving my truck. I'm the guy that gets in and goes for a ride if I'm having a chitty work day (right in the middle of that work day lol) and comes back feeling better.

Some days i over drive my Ram

Before Covid i would drive from San Diego to the far side of El Paso Tx. about 700 miles
Normally the 2nd day i would drive to a small town of Sweetwater, Tx
The 3rd day i would drive to Texarkana
That is right at 1500 miles in 3 days

One year after buying my 2016 Ram eco-diesel
I did day one to El Paso
day 2 i drove from El Paso to Texarkana, the Ram handled it very well, but my brain was dead on day 3, but my backside felt great. I would never do that again, i had to stop & nap at a rest stop, for a couple of hours on day 3.
I was 72 when i did that.
