Changed out my spark plugs yesterday at about 36k miles. Watched https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4ouJihpSyc that video before hand and he gives a couple of really good pointers. Couldn't find a telescoping magnet that swiveled so I just bought a $3 one from O'Reiley's and cut it short. Everybody always talks about how difficult the back drivers side two is, I found that one to be easy compared to the passenger rear two. All in all the whole process took me about 2 hours and I got the plugs for around 70 off Amazon a worthy investment considering the dealership is charging 400 (so he says in the video).

$400 is about what it costs. I just paid the dealer to have mine done. Glad I did. Noticed the regained power as soon as I left the lot. MPG went up a tad too. Had 61,000 miles.

I think the 16's are 100k but I think he has a 13 and they are suppose to be changed every 30k.

My 2012 had regular NGk's and were shot after just 50K

Plugs were only 80$ from NAPA with my Mil discount :roflsquared:

Took me 4 hours for some reason. But I was able to polish of a 12 pack :favorites13:

If you are physically able oughta save yourself 300 bucks and do it yourself next time. I know the bare minimum about trucks, but this was super simple to do.

That brings back memories. lol

It took me about 4-5 hours. It sucked and I realized I pushed down my radiator a little bit when I took my grille off a few weeks later.

I also watched that video helped a ton. The worst part is figuring what extensions you and what size ratchet to use. hahaah.

When I did mine I found out that if your tall and skinny with long legs and arms it sure is a lot easier. Us short chubby guys have to crawl into the engine compartment to reach anything It just ain't fair, I'm going back to my safe place now-----------------:happy107::happy107:

Takes 10 mins to lay the master cylinder out of your way and remove the brake booster and then you'll have all the room you need

I'm both tall and skinny still had to climb damn near all the way in my engine bay. 3ft ladder and a heavy moving blanket made it a little more convenient.

Also I did all of the passenger side plugs by standing on the side of the truck I about jumped for joy when I figured out I could reach by standing up.

Why unbolt crap when you just have to get a flexible extension :)

It took me almost 4 hours, going at a slow'n'steady pace. a 6" section of 5/8" heater hose worked awesome for putting the new plugs in and getting them seated, without dropping them down. A finger ratchet head (the rather part without the handle) helped put everything back more quickly than fighting with the handle all the time. I found the drivers side more difficult both to get the clips off the coil packs, and to access the coil pack bolts.

If you can change oil or an air filter, you can do this with all the info available.

One of the worst was the 2nd gen Durango. I put platinum in our 2004 Hemi Durango and it was not exactly easy but I've go all the right tools and was prepared for the job. Took about an hour.
