99 halfton with a 360 sometimes doesnt start, usually after i get fuel lol fill up and go to leave and the truck wont crank.

Tested the battery, its rated for 710 cca and tests out at a bit over 600cca. Just replaced the starter, and my alt. Is putting out about 14.6. Also just replaced the cable ends... What am i missing? Lol shift linkgage? (not right from when i reinstalled a trans??) ground issue?

Thanks for any advice

thought about that last night after i got it started again. First time it did it my buddy pulled me to his gpas house so i could put it on the lift(thats when i changed the starter) and it started in neutral, then last night i had some one pull me out of the way of the gas pump and i put it in park to unhook my strap, fired right up once i got back in there and tried the key again. Which makes me lean towards shift linkage....
