2019 Laramie 1500 have steering wheel vibration in truck that sometimes also includes seat and accelerator pedal vibration. Dealer with Ram representative balanced and then replaced tires. (Michilens, thank you Ram). Still have problem. Anybody else have problem or know how to correct?

The one and only time that I had a problem like that after replacing the tires 2x turned out to be a slightly bent wheel. The funny part was the truck was new and had less the 250 miles on it. Was told it happened during shipping from what they assumed.

Did they check the wheel rims for lateral and/or radial run-out? Rotational balance is one part of a wheel/tire running smooth.

Is the steering wheel visibly shaking or is it more of a buzzing feeling, like a cell phone vibrating?

I've heard of drive shafts being out of balance.

Hi chas man,
We're sorry to hear that you are still experiencing this. Please send us a private message if you plan to continue working with your dealer to have this addressed. We would be happy to look into this for you.

Lydia, Yes I plan to keep pursing a fix for the vibration.

Is the steering wheel visibly shaking or is it more of a buzzing feeling, like a cell phone vibrating?

I don't know about lateral or radial run out on wheels. I will ask them.
The vibration is not like a cell phone. Vibration can be harsher at times. It seems more pronounced at slower acceleration speeds and pulling up hills.

I have a co-worker experiencing the same issue in her 2019 Big Horn. She can feel it (fast vibration) in accelerator pedal as well as steering wheel. She said she could also feel it in the passenger side footwell.

If the shaking is happening at low speeds it has to do with the drive train I think. Normally wheel and tire issues caused shaking at higher speeds.

The 2019 I'm picking up tomorrow was shaking a tiny buy when in park but fine when driving. Is that just the hemi? I came from a pentastar and it has no shaking whatsoever

I'm experiencing the cell phone type buzzing in the steering wheel and gas pedal. I was assuming it was from the more aggressive duratrac tires on my rebel. It really bothers you at the end of a long drive.

Is yours constant?

Mine (4th gen) only happens under light to moderate acceleration between 2000 and 2300 RPM. Otherwise basically smooth as glass (coasting or braking down thru the same RPM range shows no vibration)

Mine is a buzzing feeling from the engine under acceleration. It's fine when I'm coasting

Yeah, mine too and I have a 4th gen.

If it happens on a 5th gen too, I would be interested to see what designs are shared between 4th and 5th gen. Obviously the engine itself, but also curious about how the engine, front diff and axle(s) mount because I had a feeling that was the bulk of the issue in the 4th gen....vibrations from all 3 of those adding up, "getting into" the frame and then transferring to the cabin.

I was getting similar symptoms after a tire rotation at 40k miles. I had my tires re balanced twice at two different shops with no resolve. The second shop tried telling me three rims were bent. They showed me how the rims hopped slightly on their balance machine (hub centric).

Thinking I was going to have to buy new rims, I decided to find a shop who uses a lug centric adapter. Thankfully I found one. Not only did they resolve the issue, but they also confirmed the second shop counter balanced my rims to the weights from the first shop. In short, they never removed the weights from the first balance, and fooled the machine to zero out by simply adding more weights on the opposite side of the rim. This had thrown everything off. In conclusion, my truck is now riding smoother than day 1.

Now I get zero vibration between 1-110mph. My old vibration started 65mph and got worse the faster I went.

$79 for a lug centric balance saved me $1200 in new rims.

I have the same issue on my 2019 Laramie. Have to take it to the dealer. I performed a road force balance myself and it's still the same. Happened after I performed the first rotate to the vehicle. have a feeling one of the front wheels are bent.
