Now that I'm leaning towards sound deadening floor and roof this might be a project worth tackling at the same time. Now I just have to find some black suede. Mine has a sunroof though so I'm expecting it to be a bigger challenge. Slider could pose a problem. Anybody pulled down a headliner that has a sunroof that can warn me of possible problems. I realize the sound deadener and suede will have to be out of the way of moving parts. Just wondering how big an issue it may be.

Attached is what I got from YourAutoTrim.com. I got 4 yards of the suede. A $20 spray gun from HF works just fine. Indeed yours may be a bit more complex, with all the moving parts, but I’m sure it can be done. Don’t make the same mistake I made though lol. Be sure to not spray the adhesive when sunny. Didn’t give me much time to lay the suede.

Thanks for the info. The relatively low material cost is making me like the idea even more. Definitely good to know how much material I require as well. Were the leftovers what you used for your amp rack?

When you get a chance take a look at his videos (just skip through all the bull… lol) Seeing him made me want to try it out. Also gives you a clue as to what to expect.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! THAT LOOKS GOOD! I love a dark interior! You have major patience. I am not sure I could have done all.

So that headliner comes foam backed already. I have the luxury of my truck being a limited so everything is already black. Maybe that'll make up for the moving parts hassle. Suede the headliner and the sunroof shade and everything else should blend right in. Just noticed had to pull seats and centre console, but since I want to soundproof the floors not really any work difference.

Very nice I’ve always not liked the tan pillers and headliner specially with the rest of the interior being black. This is way beyond me but I hope one day I can get it done. [emoji106]

Super old post, wondering how time has been with it all.

Paint hold up? Adhesive? And griming starting to hang or droop?

Awesome project :waytogo:
