Truck is a daily driver. Would like to know what superchargers anyone recommends and pros and cons . Thanks guys

I will be watching this thread as well. Dangerously curious!!!
No firsthand experience, but I am fairly confident ProCharger makes a kit for our trucks.
You would have to weigh the standard pros/cons of impeller type versus a screw type blower. The pro charger mounts off to the side is belt driven, has its own oil resevoir, air temps would be moderate, might still need an intercooler. Screw type would sit on the manifold, lots of heat...
YouTube has a few of these blown beasts and theyre nasty.

There are kits available and you can run about 5PSI without major issues. Anything more than that, or if you don't get a good tune and drive it hard all the time... stuff is gonna break.

Before you drop the money for forced induction, have you considered getting a tuner and trying a naturally aspirated 91 octane tune first? These engines are very powerful out of the box and a custom tune wakes them up even more. Exactly how fast are you looking to go in your "daily driver"???

I just put a pedal commander on, I'd like to get a tuner soon as well. My superchips really woke up my 06 Dakota with the 4.7 and used the same tuner on my 03 2500 5.7 hemi, and both were a world of difference in power. In the 03 though sucked because I couldn't do any trans tuning, I did a tone with the Dakota.

From experience I’ve had nothing but good luck with whipple superchargers...... just love these style type chargers. Anyway I know they make a kit for our trucks I do t have one on my truck but I have a 3.4L whipple with a crusher inlet on my mustang that brings a smile a my face. :)

Thanks for all your input , I'm looking at the pro charger complete systems with intercooler , diablo tuner and all the goodies . My worries is the stock transmission at this point , that it will not hold up over time . And what is the downside or potential problems of the truck bring a daily driver , if I'm not getting on it frequently . Or is it just a matter of running at 5psi . Just trying to weigh out all my pros and cons before I drop a pile of money or destroy my truck . Thanks again

5.7 Hemi Magnuson Supercharged
Hey Yall I think I might be able to provide some 1st hand input. I supercharged my truck 10k Miles ago. Eaton style twin screw, Magnuson 5PSI supercharger, with intercooler. Ill attach photos. I haven't had a single transmission issues as these trans are able to handle 500hp, however, I don't race it or beat on it.
Too bad your not closer I would let you take it for a drive, there is def. a difference in TQ, which can be felt in Seat of pants. I went twin screw over centrifugal, because of its low end power and that's what I was looking for. I missed the Torq of my 5.9 Diesel, and I still do. with that being said, If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't supercharger it. Now I have to run premium, and I get worse gas millage (-3 mpg over stock) and that's when I dive it like a saint. I rarely see 17 mpg any more unless I am down hill in neutral lol.
On the positive side, its quick, you will never have a problem passing or getting into traffic if you can keep the tires planted.
The install process was fairly easy, I replaced all my plugs while I was in there and that took about as long as installing the supercharger. Magnuson does offer a military discount, but I was less than satisfied with their tech Dept. You can only email them and wait for a response. I get a P113E code now and then and they cant seem to figure it out, nor can I.
-update, I cant figure out how to post photos...

Contact Matt at Moe's Performance, a preferred vendor on this forum. He has a supercharged truck. He should be able to give you any information you are looking for.
