Hello all! Now that my lift, wheels and tires are all done and settled on my truck, and now that I just rolled over 35k on her, I think I'm ready for performance upgrades . All the truck has on now is a drop in K&N and an aftermarket muffler, which I'll look at to find out what kind later. Anywho, after digging and reading for weeks now, I've put together this list

Intake $299
S&B Cold Air Intake 2013-2015 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi and 2010-2015 Ram 2500/3500 5.7L Hemi - Cleanable Filter

Tuner $469
DiabloSport i2 DCX tuner for 2003-2014 Dodge Vehicles

Throttle body $349
Moe's Performance Ported Throttle Body 87MM 2005-2012 Dodge Ram 5.7L Hemi

Headers $599
JBA Stainless Longtube Headers 2006-2015 Dodge Ram 5.7 1500 2WD/4WD

Everything is from Moe's, and I've chosen my selection based on reviews I've found on the forum. What do you guys think? Pretty good lineup? Would you change anything? Thanks for any input guys

Looks solid, i would keep the drop in filter and skip the S&B CAI. Save yourself $300 and put it towards something else.

Thats just my opinion, im sure others will justify $300 for a CAI lol.

That's what I've done with my truck's in the past, just replace the stock filter with a K&N, but everyone everywhere seems to see gains from the S&B setup, it's the only reason I decided on getting it.

I'm posting from the phone, so I can't see your sig. What year is your truck and are you 2wd or 4wd? Longtubes are great, but the JBA's have larger 1 7/8" primaries which can cause you to feel a loss of tq in the lower rpms. You can offset this with gears and a bigger tq converter though. With your 35's, a gear swap should probably be on your list as well to help turn those bigger tires. I would actually do gears before the headers.

I'm 4wd, and as much as I wish gears were an option, mine being welded in is too much cost for me to justify it. My 35s only weigh 66lbs tho, I'm still happy with performance and mpg for stock. What headers are best for a 12' 4WD Hemi?

Yeah im sure you might see some slight gains but i would meed to see some dyno charts first and then see if the extra few HP and TRQ numbers are worth the money. As ive mentioned in another thread, if you are crafty then you can modify your stock box a bit and get some colder air in from an added hose/pathway .

I don't blame you. The 2012s are a pain when it comes to 4wd gear swaps.

The ARH longtubes are more expensive, but are offered with 1 3/4" primaries. These will give you more tq in the lower rpms than you would get from a header with 1 7/8" primaries.

It's something I neglected to look into when buying the truck. I read on forums of ppl re gearing 4th Gen 1500s so I thought I had it figured out, since I didn't plan to stay stock, unfortunately I didn't know 12 and up Rams are welded. So when it came to tires and wheels, weight was a big factor for me. ARH w/ 1 3/4 primaries, got it. Headers will likely be my last mod as listed, so the extra cost shouldn't be too bad. I just don't want to buy it all at once again like the lift and tires. Hurts my pocket spending +$3,000 in a 30min session on the Internet haha.

I'll admit, I wasn't expecting a $1000 price difference! I was hoping to keep my entire add on list under $6,000. Up to around $4650 so far, don't want to go over too much haha.

Yours are not welded. It's inly the 2012+ front axles on the 4wd that are a problem.

Well that makes things a little different. My best friend is a machinist, I'm sure I could give him my front diff and he can machine it to be bolted in. Hmm, may look into gears now

I have'nt plugged my Trinity into my new Ram yet, but i have used it on my last 3 vehicles and it has made good gains on all of them. Granted i added CAI and aftermarket exhaust also. But for my money you cant beat the bang for buck factor of a good tuner. Unfortunately to use it on my 15' i will have to purchase and upgraded PCM from diablosport also.

Good list. If your machinest friend would do it for cheap and a rack of beer that'd be worth looking into. First things first though is finding out what gears you currently have. Call the dealership and give them your vin. Maybe Christmas came twice for you and you have bigger gears than originally thought.

There's a sticker on the driver's side of the rear axle that will tell you what gearing is in your truck.
