Seriously, I actually run my pressure a little low because of the harsh ride at low speeds, I work in Philly and the roads absolutely suck around here under 30 mph the ride is extremely harsh
Changes in ambient temperature, barometric pressure and humidity have an effect on suspension systems. Sometimes the changes are dramatic and some are very subtle. On a hot day the pressures inside a strut or a shock absorber are higher and it can have an effect on ride quality but for most it goes unnoticed. When the weather is cold or cooler outside the gas pressures inside the struts or shocks is lower and they become a little softer. Like I said, it normally goes unnoticed but some do feel the difference.Anyone ever notice the suspension feel a bit better in the rain or humid days ? 2018 1500 express
OEM shocks are notorious after 25k miles on them, get an after market shock and never look back. My guess is you wont like bills hd's, but look at some smoother shocks such as monroe gas adjust or similar types of shocks. Those oem lose their rebound, especially over pot holes, and how I know we live in the pot hole capital of the world.
I went with bills 5100 series and down to 17 rim and it is night and day difference over pot holes.
Did you level with the bilstiens or just stay at the lowest setting?
I was at 2.8 and that was the smoothest ride ever, but I blew a cv boot, then went to 2.1 and the ride was much firmer but safer for the boots. Yes, that .60 inch is huge on the travel with bills, especially with a HD bumper. I do believe I will try 2.8 again sometime.
Put 1000 pounds in the back of that thing. That vehicle was designed to carry a load.
or buy an Oldsmobile.
I'm not 100
