I'm wanting to convert my 2012 Ram Outdoorsman with the single outlet exhaust to a dual exhaust. If I go and get an OEM dual setup from a salvage yard, will it bolt up directly to my truck?

I may be wrong but won't it rub on your bumper since yours won't be notched out for duals

Correct, you are going to also want the notched bumper. I'm sure you could make the stock dual exhaust work with your standard bumper, but you will have to adjust the tips to make it line up right.

If that was the route you were thinking about going, then I would just buy a single in/dual out muffler and have new pipes welded in. No sense in throwing a stock unit on there just for the look of 2 pipes when you can have a better flowing and better sounding aftermarket setup for about the same money.

Yes, I should've mentioned that I was planning on getting the correct bumper as well. Thanks for the help!

If my truck didn't come with the bumper that was curved for the duals, I would keep the non-curved bumper and dump my exhaust after the axle.....

or mandrel bend it and have it come out before the rear tires. You can still get the true dual set up and not have to buy the bumper. Just a thought.

He couldn't get a true dual setup without a lot of money into pipe bending, an x-pipe, and twice as much piping as his stock on has though...

Too bad we are so far apart, I would trade you my factory dual set-up with a Magnaflow muffler welded in and my bumper with the exhaust cutouts (would match the grey on yours perfectly) for just your grey bumper without the cutouts.
