Kyle and I were thinking that the 5-50 might cause seal issues because the pressures would get to high. Possibly?

All those caps snake bit me.

You know Amsoil is pretty stubborn, you would think with the popularity of their product and the emergence of ebay and amazon that they would have opened up their distribution. Sal Zaino same thing, he has a great product and wont sell it anywhere but zaino.com, it has hurt his profits beyond belief. He just wont change, lol.

Mike/Cory,

Kyle and I were tossing around some ideas. I currently run Amsoil 0W-40 in the 6.4, and 10W-50 in the motorcycles and yard equipment. I bought a generator that wants 10W-30 automotive oil.

The Rango’s 5.7 is on 7.5 qts of Redline 5W-30.

The question we both have is based on this info/ data would/could the Rango/Ram handle the 5W-50?

JMO but I'd be nervous running SS 5w50 in a Hemi. The VVT solenoid and cam phaser might be sluggish on that oil and it might pop a code....

Some companies and especially privately held family owned ones are afraid of being too successful. Seems counter-intuitive but mainly comes down to a control thing.

Have a neighbor that runs a custom home and small building business and is easily booked 5+ years out for work. Just refuses to expand and hire on more because he likes to control every project himself.

I talked to Sal and that is exactly what he said, I want to control the price. He could literally increased sales by ten times by opening his distribution after his product won that first wax test. Now, everyone has a equal product if not better, but he missed his chance to be an icon in detailing. You gain control, but at what cost. If he had every detailing website sell his product, they would promote it not compete against it. He could have been the coke a cola of sealants/waxes, but now it is in the shadows of the net. Opportunity missed imo.

BTW Corey and Kyle are on this, for the first time in fifteen years I'm gonna buy a non zaino sealant. Another thing he didn't do was adapt to new tech like ceramic. His stuff is still great, a sealant that looks like a wax but great durability, but his marketing and development just stagnant.

For $20

This stuff is the cats ass.

I’ve never used a product so cheap that kept my truck so clean. Literally have had rain on and off the past couple daysAnd my work parking lot is like a desert with dirt tornadoes weekly.

Somehow the truck is not letting dirt stick to it NEAR as much. It’s pretty amazing

From experience: this pretty much requires the surface of your paint to be cool and not direct sunlight

Corey would you run 5W-40 in both? Or a mix of 0W-40 and 10W-30?

Just looked at the specs for 5w40, 0w40, and 10w30. For your hot climate I think the 5w40 would work well in both. I know Kyle ran that in his truck so its fairly good in the cold too

It is not bad in the cold at all. But when we reach the teens and less and i dont have my block heater plugged in she cranks pretty hard.

I think im changing my plan this winter. Was going to try 5w30 but when we discovered that the extra 1/2 quart stops start up tic it made me wonder if THAT was the problem with my 0W40 runs...... and literally every run before that that k had start up tic.

So. Im doing 0W40 this winter with the large filter and 7.7 ish quarts. Should be perfectly fine

That's a good idea the 0w definitely cranks easier in the teens and lower.

Can't wait to see what happens[emoji106][emoji106]
