Interesting. People here in north central MN laugh at Artic Cat. They love Polaris for some reason despite never ending quality issues. I have a Ski-Doo
Yes, the herd mentality is strong. How many members of the Polaris cult even know that Edgar Hetteen started both companies? Or that when the snow market crashed Polarass was saved from bankruptcy by Textron, yes the same morons that now own Arctic Cat? It was only by good fortune that an employee buyout saved Polarass from Textron, while by misfortune that Arctic Cat was scooped up by corporate raider Irv The Liquidator at that same time, and had to go BK as a result.

BTW, at that time we were a Homelite dealer, and we had a Homelite Forester II snowmobile, made by Polaris. What a dung heap! LOLOL

Those homelight chain saws will be worth their weight in gold when they stop selling gas saws over here next year. My favorite spot may go under, larsens small machine shop, they are a stihl dealer, maybe they will survive dunno.

Well, we sold Homelite from the early 60s until I couldn't take their lack of development, and extraordinarily terrible quality control, and dumped them in the early 90s. Fortunately we had picked up Stihl for quite a while and sold tons of them. By the way, guess who owned Homelite from the 50s until they ran them into the ground, and pawned off their smoldering carcass on, of all companies, John Deere? You guessed it, the Textron morons. Didn't take long for Deere to write it off and dump it on some Hong Kong operation.

Gitcheegumee ain't cooling you guys off in summer anymore? It was coldest water temp in years this summer.

Anyway, did they list CCS dynamic viscosity for M1 fs 0W-40 @ -30C?
It was a fairly normal summer here with one extremely abnormal day. It was 90 all day then all of a sudden at 4 pm it climed to 104 and stayed around 100 till 7 pm. The lake numbed the legs while we were swimming in it. Swear pourin down my head but tingly icy legs lol. Was 40 last night lol

I have not seen that value listed. The us site used to list every thing except that and pour point and now they dont list much but they do list pour point. The german mobil site lists everything except ccs. Strange sites for sure but all the info lines up

If you have a Hemi you will be better off using Red Line synthetic oil. I replaced my lifters and cam when I got the tick and used Red Line and haven't looked back. Ive even see quite a few V6's come down with the "Hemi Tick" also. Seems several Challenger people are now speaking up about it.

Got my UOA back from the Amsoil SS 0w40 run I did. I ended up switching back to RL 5w30 because I had a slight drivers side tick and it was almost time to change it anyway. I wasn't going to run this again but after seeing this UOA I just might.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it, here, but I was slumming yesterday and saw walmart supertech has another option that is above their generic synthetic, I believe the main difference is the interval for which they demand 5 extra bucks. So this oil sells for more then most oils on the shelf such as PP by a couple bucks but of course carries the super tech name in the same bottle, they only difference they advertise 20k interval. Any dirt out there on this oil? any uoa/voa? they have this oil at 20k, their old synthetic at 10k, and their blend they promote a 5k interval. I guess this is supposed to compete with m1 annual? its a full 6 bucks more...

Saw that fram ultra xg2 on the shelf for 8 bucks, but I did resist it as I'm pretty content where I am at on filters.

Seems that it has nearly the same makeup as the non-advanced. Trying to find the VOA he mentioned here but someone posted a VOA of both ST formulas and they were nearly identical. https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/t...otor-oil-20k-mile-protection-5-quarts.349160/

EDIT

Found the comparison between the two. yeah nearly identical. https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/t...thetic-vs-advanced-full-synthetic-voa.349002/

Purely marketing gimick slapping the 20k label on it
