Because it's a Euro company. I lived this movie when Cummins brought in French management of power generation division. They halved our sales within 5 years, then blamed us for doing what they told us we had to do or be fired, then fired us anyway. Arrogant sadists.
I remember this well, Cummins Power Gen/Onan took a huge hit in sales.

The supply chain that keeps on giving.
Certainly is an idea for 3rd world countries to maybe start making cheaper fuel for themselves, rather than importing oil. Although I highly doubt that countries that signed up to "Green" initiatives and EV mandates would allow that. In Europe certainly not.

Norway is the Country with the most EV's and are a big oil country ;) So combining it can be ok to I guess

I've read the biggest fossil fuel oversupply is in methane (natural gas). It's a low global warming fuel (when burned, it's terrible if leaked), and makes a great lubricating oil through the GTL process. It spews out of drilled wells, not sure they can cap it like they can crude oil. You either flare it or pipe/ship it. I'm all for NG piping if they do it right (no leaks). It can also be used in peak power generating station gas turbine (jet) engines.

I guess that's one reason I'm a fan of PUP (GTL). Good enough base oil for 5k mile OCI's, better than cat cracked and hydrotreated Group III crude oil (higher saturation, higher oxidation resistant, fewer contaminants), and reasonably priced when we don't need a super-oil for problem design engines like Hemi.

According to NASA, yes we still believe some of what they say, methane was much higher in Earth's past and we are still here.

Early in the Earth’s history—about 3.5 billion years ago—there was 1,000 times as much methane in the atmosphere as there is now.

How about we accept the fact that anything we do is not going to effect the earth one iota. Historic co2 levels are similar. All of this messaging is a social construct and nothing more.

10 years too late behind competitors? I expect bankruptcy by next year.
i was over at my local dealer this morning visiting with the parts guys, and out of 85 employees, they're down to only having 20 of the original employee's that had been there for years.Half of their sales team has moved onto either Ford or GM dealerships. I'm good buddies with the parts department and every one of them are looking for new jobs,as they don't think Stellantis will be around much longer. That actually pee's me off,as i've been dealing with that dealer for going on 40 years, and i'm on a first name basis with alot of their employee's from salesmen to parts guys, and with everybody leaving it's not the same dealership.Used to be i could go over at anytime of day and no matter what department i was visiting, there was always somebody to visit with, now not so much.
Back in my hardcore drag racing days, and when they were still privately owned by one individual, they used to sponsor me,now that they're owned by a conglomerate corporation,i don't think you could drag a nickel out of them to sponsor a car anymore

Is not the timing of this relevant? I mean that betrays everything we have seen from oil manu's, it betrays resource conserving and viscosity trends, which means it is likely a great oil imo. Maybe the direction of the gub't emboldens manu's to make stout oils? So we have seen the euro's drop woke formulas for a while now, it makes you wonder with the current situation if the US oils might start following the euro's? MOGA, makes oils great again. Yet to be seen, but it would be a refreshing and welcome change. Keep them gub't chefs out da kitchen and let the manu's cook.

Be a great choice for a hemi too, in warm states. Depending on moly level drop some biotech in. Lots of promise. Move those sensors back off the cats, never look back.

If i see it at walmart ill pick some up for a VOA. Its been spotted in the wild. Label looks like a 90s label to lol. Based on the PDS i dont think it has any VII. Looks like heavy base oils. I wish it showed pour point so we could get an idea on if they use PAO or not. Density is off the charts for a mobil 1 product
