Ok El Guru @Travis8352 -

With all the new oil developments going on, good (Mobil 1) and bad (PUP), what's the best oil for the money for Hemi engines today?

Red Line 5W-30 (getting overly expensive and hard to find)
HPL SC 0W-30 (moderately priced, yet super premium but not same recipe as Red Line)
Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 (newish, and kind of an improved, mid-2010's PUP with some PAO, but same lowish price)
Other?

I didn't iist Amsoil cause I think their Moly additive level is marginal?

If i were someone willing to spend extra money on a botique id probabaly stick with redline and HPL SC 0w-30. Im waiting to see AMSOILS next formula coming in march. If i wanted to be cheap but still run a quality product id use mobil 1 ESP 0w-30

Also HPL is 20% off with 25 dollar flatrate shipping for small business saturday and cyber monday

@Travis8352 - I just looked on Advanced Lubrication, Inc. website, a case of (4) 1 gallon HPL SuperCar 0W-30 with -20% sale price (more than our forum RamForum15%) works out to $12.50 per quart + tax & $25 shipping. Wowsa!

I’ve tried a number of “cheap” oils in my HEMI. Since the last time I replaced all the filters, I’ve use Redline only once and I’ve done an additional 150,000 kms, which means that if something were to start ticking, it should have by now.
The oil I used:
Mobil 1 FS Euro 0w40
Motul 300V 5w30
Havoline Pro DS Eco 5 5w30
Liquimoly Molygen 5w30
Castrol Magnatec 5w30 Stop Start
Havoline Full Synthetic LE 5w30
All of which were changed at 5000kms change intervals.

I’m tempted to try Mannol Legend + Ester 0w40 with Mannol Moly additive.
However looking at the VOA, it does not look as good.

Mobil 1 FS Euro 0w40 sounded the best and is my 1st choice for someone looking for a budget HEMI oil.

Travis said the 20% sale is Black Friday and Monday, not now.
I guess I should have asked the question that was on my mind -
how did he know? I haven't seen anything about it, not even an email.

Good to know though. I'll be looking to make a buy.

PUP 5w30 VOA vs Mobil 1 5w30 EURO VOA. Is one better than the other?

Pretty equal except if you go straight to viscosity you see what I am saying and that isn't the best effort 0w30's but it still looks great near 12cSt, while pup is at 9, for the same weight. Clear winner = euro. Which is why 0w40 PUP is the real pup for any hemi. Plus that euro oils has moly, so it really is a stand out imo. The white paper posted in this thread was 75ppm moly, so that moly is right there.
