Someone show me where to find Pennzoil viscosity details on their site? If they took that down, never going to suggest that brand again.

Here is what I am saying, the euro's dumped thin oil specs but the US kept them. Amsoil eot stouter then any shelf oil 5w30 plus even PP euro over 12cst, stop looking at american crap specs and think out the box. Euro oils look like old American specs. That is two euro oils that look close to redline 5w30 as far as viscosity. That's the news.

And another one, looky at Valvoline 0w30 euro and its big beautiful specs and visc (pdf). Can anyone find a voa on that?

Extended protection no 0w30 and neither does advanced, but that is where you find the 0w16 and 0w8 CR@P!!!
Seeing a trend here? We are all in on this thin stuff even more then euro trash man with this fake stuff, they must be laughing at us over there. As for that 0w30 euro valvoline, man that might be the best one I've seen for shelf oil or even amsoil. But all of them are built so stoutly.

m1 esp 0w30 is also another one very similar, of note less then 10% pao which is ok, less then the variant that has 40% whatever that was. But yes this is just as good as all of the others and a name you can trust with m1. It's as if to make up for low saps they make the base oils as stout as possible. Or the option is buy non euro specs that is thin and low additives? At least you get the visc right with any euro oils mentioned.

From Valvoline, as you can see euro 0w30's ditched the notion of fuel economy..

The minimum High-Temperature High-Shear (HTHS) viscosity for 0W-30 oil depends on the specific specification, but a common minimum for certain modern, fuel-economy-focused oils is 2.9 mPa•s to 3.0 mPa•s. Older or more traditional specifications often require a higher minimum HTHS viscosity of 3.5 mPa•s or greater, such as ACEA A3/B3/B4. It is essential to consult your vehicle's owner's manual to determine the correct HTHS viscosity for your engine

As we all know there is a large difference between 2.9 and 3.5 hths, but also look at the cold performance on these oils. Maybe we should call euro 0w30's super class 0w30. Amazing stuff imo.

Theres also liquimoly ceratec that could be a good additive like lubegard biotech. I believe ceratec is a moly additive that uses molyvan 855 from vanderbilt chemical which vanderbilt says is a "molybdenum ester amide". Ceratec also contains hexagonal boron nitride

That's not necessarily a bad thing. Still it is formulated and made in the U.S., that is why you get the best of it; whereas myself here in the middle east get only Valvoline All Climate.
