Just curious if anyone else has a rattle when they shut their tailgate. If so, i have found the defect and fixed it.
There are foam pads around each linkage (do the linkage does not contact the tailgate body) that goes to each side of the tailgate. The drivers side linkage seems to sit closer to the outside body panel, which keeps the foam pad in place. The passenger side seems to sit a little farther away, which can cause the foam pad to eventually vibrate and slide down the linkage enabling the linkage to contact the tailgate and rattle. I simple just slid it back where it was supposed to be and dabbed a little rtv sealant inside and on each side of the pad, so it will never move again.
